I have been getting ready for our next crop with some handmade embellishments.

I have made a couple of these now and wanted to record what I did in case I want to make more down the track. So I thought I should share the pattern with who ever might like it…

Dish cloth

8 ply cotton

4mm hook

Chain 40

Skip 1 chain, single crochet in next chain, 1 chain – repeat until the end of the row omitting last chain, turn.

1 chain, single crochet in next chain space, 1 chain – repeat until the end of the row, single crochet into the top of the first chain, turn.

The last row forms the pattern. Repeat the last row until there are 39 rows in total.

Border

Turn, chain 1.

Single crochet in chain space, single crochet into top of single crochet in previous row. Repeat until the end of the row, 3 single crochet in last stitch.

Continue around the edge of the dish cloth, a single crochet in each row or each stitch and three single crochet in each corner. Slip stitch to join at the end.

I usually don't like photos of me but I didn't mind this one. I printed it on A4 paper and tried to blend it into the background.

Last page for today. It has been fun relaxing and scrapping. I should do this more often!

Another challenge complete. This is something from this weekend. I was able to write a reasonable story this time. Maybe I should just scrap current things. It is much easier to write about, that is for sure.

Here is another page following the colour palette suggested by Shimelle.

This was a fun page to make. It was different to Shimelle's page as I had a landscape photo rather than a portrait photo. I also used a paper with a border that I would not have normally used. And in the end I basically ended up with a monochrome page! It was fun.

I took inspiration from Cheryl's page and decided to include flowers. I used to use them all the time but hardly ever use them now!

I am currently joining Shimelle in her online scrapbooking party. This is for the first challenge.

It is nice knowing Shimelle and friends are scrapping with me, even if they are in London or elsewhere in the world!

See shimelle.com to join in?

I don't know that I will ever have a grand daughter to fit these but I love these and wanted to give them a go!

I am glad to get that out of my system!
